We can’t wait for the Lusk event at UConn! In class yesterday we talked a bit about how necessary, and fun, it is to engage with multiple sides of a debate.
As we jump into Jayson Lusk’s The Food Police I thought it might be helpful to get to know our new author a bit. And as you learn more about Lusk, it will become increasingly evident that juxtaposing his work with that of Michael Pollan is sure to spur some exciting discussion. (In the comments section on the blog, I hope!)
In a recent blog post on jaysonlusk.com, Lusk discusses the role of technology in meat production. The information he shares offers a counterpoint to Pollan’s perspective, which seems to favor old agricultural practices as compared to new technologies. What do you think about the role of technology in modern-day farming?
